What We Believe: Our Foundation

OUR BELIEFS

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and perfect Word. It shows us who God is, how He saves, and how we are called to live. Everything written in Scripture is true, trustworthy, and the ultimate authority for our lives.

Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16–17, 2 Peter 1:21, Matthew 5:17–18

God

We believe in one God—our Creator of all—eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Scriptures: Genesis 1:26, Deuteronomy 6:4, Hebrews 1:8, Acts 5:3–4, Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man. He came to earth, lived a sinless life, and fulfilled God’s plan as the promised Christ—the Savior of the world.

Scriptures: John 1:1, Philippians 2:6, Matthew 1:23, Colossians 2:9

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts and draws people to repentance. All who repent and place their faith in Jesus Christ are born again, indwelt by the Spirit, and united into the body of Christ-the Church-through HIS works.

Scriptures: John 16:8, 2 Peter 1:4, John 3:5–8, John 3:16, John 3:36, Romans 8:9–11, 1 Corinthians 12:13

Humanity

We believe all people are born with a sinful nature and cannot save themselves through good deeds or personal righteousness.

Scriptures: Genesis 3, Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8–9, Titus 3:5

The Gospel

We believe Jesus died for our sins, was buried, rose again, and now reigns at God’s right hand. Salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.

Scriptures: Romans 5:18, Romans 5:6–11, Hebrews 9:28, Hebrews 7:25–27
